When It Rains, It Pours...
I lost my job today!
I didn't lose it...I know where it is, I just don't work there anymore.
I had an inkling that there was something going on, but I still didn't believe it would actually happen to me.
With finding out Season has multiple sclerosis and Christmas right around the corner this is really bad news. I am worried about finding a new job with as good a salary as I had, but on the bright side I was very bored with my work and am looking forward to a change.
Well, time to dust off that interview suit and update the old resume.

Holy shit! I lost my job on the same day! I'm in New York City and there's NO work out here. I think I'm in trouble...
The UB - That's a really terrible coincidence. I am really sorry to hear you have lost your job also. The company I worked for is based in NYC too. There doesn't seem to be too many jobs out this way either at the moment. I've got a few prospects though, but unfortunately I don't foresee anything happening till after the holidays. Good luck to you. I hope you find suitable work as soon as possible.
I'm also looking for a new job, as a pre-emptive strike to a possible lay off. It's not that there's nothing out there, but there is nothing within my current salary range. Best of luck to you!
Noelle - Thanks! Good luck to you as well. It's not totally dried up out there. There are jobs available, but as you mentioned not in the right salary range. Have to keep looking and hope for the best.
I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles brother. If there is anything I can do you know I am just a phone call away.
I wish you the best in these terrible economic times. I'm sure you will come out on top. Good luck!
Wow. I'm really behind on posts.
Sorry to hear about your run of bad luck.
[[Sending positive vibes your way.]]
Thank everyone so much for your well wishes. I really appreciate it. I've gone through the entire gambit of emotions lately.
We realize even with the troubles we are having right now we still have it good compared to other folks. We feel blessed and lucky to have what we got. We will get through this. Life goes on.
Sorry to hear about your job. My brother just lost his also.
I lost mine (in NYC) after the terrorist attacks and while I initially freaked out, I ended up finding a job that I love. Now I'm just hoping I can hold onto it.
Good luck!
Thanks Jeff. Sorry to hear about your brother too. I hope he will find a job he enjoys as much you do yours.
I thought you were on vacation until I talked to Tracy before the holidays when I left for vacation. Keep your head up and you and Season are both in my prayers.
