Who knew? Someone could actually make that song worse.
It's gotta be a joke, seems like she has a good sense of humor. She was in Dogma and I've heard her on Howard Stern a few times. She's actually pretty funny.
Alanis had a huge album twelve years ago with Jagged Little Pill. She's been irrelevant ever since, but she's sure sounds better than most of what's coming out in music today.
This video I took as "anything you can do, I can do better." By slowing down the lyrics she both really showed how stupid they are, and she actually is a singer with talent, unlike Fergie.
Personally, I think it is real..definitely sounds like her voice....and I thought it was great. Like fidelio said, it shows how stupid those lyrics are...

Anyway, I think it's a really funny parody.
This video seems to have spread like wildfire across the internet, it's everywhere now! I enjoyed this satire of a catchy crappy pop song.
I don't like the song either way. It's just not my cup of tea, but I'd like to say: SANJAYA GONNA SET THIS PLACE ON FIRE!!! LOL!
