Arlington National Cemetery...

A moment to remember those that won't be with us this Christmas...

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.
Know the line has held, your job is done.
Rest easy, sleep well.
Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.
Peace, peace, and farewell...

Read the story of the wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery and about the poem here.

Thanks for this post Al!

While we honor and remember our fallen heroes, I'd like to also remember those who are presently deployed sacrificing so that we can enjoy our freedoms.

I will remember my brothers who have fallen and those that are still deployed or are going to be deployed back into the fray.

Say a special prayer for me when I go back here soon. :)

I am remembering Peter Swano, Thomas Burke, Joseph Jefferies and John Santos.

You are always in my prayers Mason. Take care of yourself though.

Great way to remember veterans during Christmas time. This time of year brings out the best in some people. Really touching story. Thanks.

I won't ever forget the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform.

Without the commitment of the American people, our use of military power will falter in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Our other instruments of national power, such as diplomatic or economic or information, will scarcely gain a foothold without solid commitment.

Real victory will come when, as at times past, Americans hold to their ideals, rally as a nation, face the dangers threatening our way of life, and stand firm until victory is achieved.

When our enemies see this commitment, they will lose their initiative and begin their march to defeat.

We are the United States of America. We should never apologize for being who we are! Don't let their sacrifice be for nothing.

Now if you can doubly imagine my surprise when I was notified via the wonders of e-mail of your recent comment!!! I have often wondered what became of my good friend Mark Chance and James Sikora! It’s good to know you are doing well and remember our escapades in and about the Father land. I dropped you a line fag-boy, but since you haven’t update your web log since 01/31/05 I will post this here in case you stumble your way back to my blog.
