Kerry Belittles U.S. Troops...

I have disliked John Kerry ever since he was ousted as a poseur by twenty of the twenty two officers he served with when he attempted to use his very short tour in Vietnam as a stepping stone to his run at the Presidency.

Kerry lost the faith of almost all veterans and military supporters, when he sat in Congress and lied shamefully about war crimes that were never committed. He betrayed everyone who has served in the military and rarely is there ever something he has said that has any credibility, but he perfectly seals the deal by showing the undeserved superiority he feels about the “poor wretches” who wear our uniform.

Let me guess John…you’ll say it’s a "misinterpreted” joke about the President, right?

Let's see... if you don't study and you're dumb you'll end up as what? The Leader of the Free World? No, that doesn't make sense does it. But wait, how could it be about George Bush when we know that Bush's grades at Yale were higher than yours?

I don’t want to contribute to petty things getting blown out of proportion before an election, but this isn't one of those things.

I believe this is Kerry’s true feelings about the men and women of our Armed Forces. Never mind the fact that the American military has a higher high school graduation rate than the civilian population. Kerry has had no problem slandering the troops upon his return from Vietnam. He had no problem slandering our current forces by claiming they were "harassing women and children" in Iraq, and it's no stretch to find that he finds them sub-par in the intelligence department now...

I wonder how troops that voted for him are feeling now...I hate when I stick up for someone only to have them stab me in the back. Then again, anyone in the military that voted for him knowing what he did to his brother's in arms all those years ago probably has some issues with critical thinking...

What a surprise! The Democrats look down their noses at our military.

This was a fruedian slip if I've ever seen one. Kerry hates us, he always has and he always will.

They should have tried him for colusion with the enemy and shot him back in the 70s and spared us all.

Misinterpreted my ass! This guy really wants us to believe he would never badmouth the American military. Anyone for a quick refresher on history? This isn't the first time Kerry has betrayed our soldiers. Despicable.

Wait till you get a load of his "apology", but you weren't really expecting an apology, were you?

You can’t make this up. His statement, basically, was so demeaning to the men and women who are serving in the military that you will be even more grateful than you are at this moment that George Bush is president of the United States.

His statement was that if you get an education and you do well, then you don’t have to go to Iraq, and if you don’t have an education, then you have to go to Iraq. Do you know how demeaning that is to the men and women who are serving so magnificently in the cause of freedom and are fighting and dying in Iraq today? RV is right - Despicable!

I have been looking at your blog every 10 minutes since this news broke because I knew you would respond.

His camp says it was originally written to say " end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq."

How is that better ?? Now all of the deomcrats are saying about the possibility of him running for President in 2008 is.....Kerry who ?

Every ten minutes! There are plenty better things to do anonymous...

A few Democratic candidates joined Republicans yesterday in pressing Kerry to apologize.

"Whatever the intent, Senator Kerry was wrong to say what he said," - Democratic Rep. Harold Ford Jr

"Sen. Kerry's remarks were poorly worded and just plain stupid," "He owes our troops and their families an apology." - Montana Democratic Senate President Jon Tester

So, what does he do? Kerry "apologized" to our troops via an issued statement. Easy way out. All he need to do was go before the camera and utter two simple words.

Basically his statement says - "I stand behind everything I said, I’m just sorry if you took offense". Nice.

Any day now Kerry will answer the Swift Boat Veterans' detailed charges about his questionable actions during his four months in Vietnam.

Then Kerry will explain his numerous documented anti-American activities after he left Vietnam.

I'll keep my fingers crossed...

Kerry's actual remarks (as opposed to what he now wishes he had said), were highly insulting to everyone who has served in the military. His subsequent series of bizarre attacks against the president did nothing to alleviate the offense. His written non-apology of this afternoon is wholly inadequate, and only adds insult to injury: he regrets that his words were "misinterpreted." How magnanimous of him!

Please don't insult us further, Senator. We know what you said. You may not have meant to say those precise words, but the meaning of what you did say was perfectly clear.

Apology not accepted.

Kerry should immediately resign. He's a man lacking any trace of honor. Even a "well excuuuuse me" would be better than what he attempted to pass off as a real apology.

I cannot believe he said what he did. Does he really think he's going to get way with that? I love the picture you posted, very funny!
