Israel: Hezbollah's Military Power Halved

Hezbollah leader denies claim: "They are unable to harm us"...

Two Israeli soldiers were killed battling Hezbollah guerrillas Thursday in a second day of fierce ground fighting in war-ravaged southern Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces also reported that eleven other soldiers were wounded along with a tank and an armored bulldozer that were destroyed by rocket-propelled grenades.

The Israeli military says that its air assault on Lebanon has destroyed about half of Hezbollah's military strength. It is using ground forces to target Hezbollah artillery, believed hidden in caves, tunnels and basements in southern Lebanon.

A large fight between Israeli forces and Hezbollah guerrillas broke out Thursday evening on the Lebanese side of the border, the Israeli army said. It said its troops suffered several casualties.

The forces crossed the border as part of ongoing operations to push back Hezbollah guerrillas who have continued firing rockets into northernIsrael despite more than a week of massive bombardment.

While it's not a full-scale invasion, Israel could be probing the defenses in preparation for one.

What is Israel supposed to do? Sit back and do nothing when its citizens or soldiers are kidnapped and-or murdered? Are they just supposed to give in to Hezbollah's demands? Be bullied by terrorist thugs? I hope Israel kicks some major Arab ass!

Lebanon, Syria, & Iran all three hate us and Israel. I wonder if our troops will eventually get involved in more than a "peace keeping" mission with all this going on.
